A close-up of an intricately woven basket made from natural palm fibers, its coiled design forming precise concentric circles in alternating bands of straw beige, deep maroon, and charcoal gray. The basket rests on a dark walnut shelf, accompanied by a small brass incense burner and a folded, embroidered cloth in green and gold. In the softly blurred background, a large wall map of San Diego and Sudan is pinned side by side, subtly connecting places. Gentle, directional studio lighting from the right emphasizes the basket’s texture and fine craftsmanship, casting soft shadows along the shelf. Photographic realism, with a tight, horizontal crop and shallow depth of field, creates an intimate, dignified, and culturally rich atmosphere.
