Celebrating the vibrant and growing Sudanese community of San Diego, we began as a dedicated group of women with a mission to accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of Sudanese and South Sudanese women. Through various initiatives, we aim to uplift fellow Sudanese women, fostering a supportive network that arms them with means to thrive in the states.

SWA (pronounced sah-wah) focuses on collaboration and shared experiences. We want to create an environment where cultural pride flourishes, allowing every woman to find her voice and to make a meaningful impact in our community through education, cultural exchange, and advocacy, allowing them to find confidence, leadership, and belonging in their new home.
